The Cross Border Xpress that connects the Tijuana International Airport with San Diego has changed its fares according to the season in which the trips are made. Until a few days ago, the cost was flat, however, now you can see that it will depend on whether the trip is made during a high or low season.
Low season
Low season is considered from March 1 to June 17 and then from August 16 to October 31, so the price of a single ticket during those dates will be $16 dollars and the round trip will cost $32 dollars.
If you are looking for a family plan with a single ticket, the costs are as follows: 2 people $62.00 USD; 5 people $75.00 USD and 6 people $85.00 USD. For round trips: 4 people $115.00 USD; 5 people $135.00 USD and 6 people, $155.00 USD.
High Season
On the other hand, the high season is considered from June 18 to August 15 and from there until November 1 to December 31. During these dates the costs will go up and a single ticket will cost $19.00 USD and a round trip ticket will cost $34.00 USD.
If you want a family plan with a single ticket, the costs are as follows: 2 people $73.00 USD, 5 people $85.00 USD and 6 people $97.00 USD. For round trips: 4 people $121.00 USD, 5 people $142.00 USD and 6 people $164.00 USD.
Frequent travelers
According to CBX's official website, frequent flyers can have the same prices whether paying in low or high season: 10 round trip tickets for $270.00 USD, 20 round trip tickets for $480.00 USD and 30 round trip tickets for $675.00 USD.
According to the page: "All CBX high season tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase. CBX off-peak season tickets are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase only for exclusive use from January 16 to June 17 or August 16 to October 31."
