During Governor Jaime Bonilla's daily report, it was announced that Baja California has enough natural gas supply and the necessary electric energy to continue operating without problems or interruptions.
Mario Escobedo Carignan, Secretary of Sustainable Economy and Tourism assured that the state is not connected to the national power grid, "Baja California has its own network and supplies itself", he said this in relation to the crisis caused by the natural gas shortage and therefore the power failures derived from the freezing weather in Texas that caused blackouts in the northwest of the country.
The official explained which are the companies that currently generate energy in the state, the increase in LP gas prices due to the demand due to the time, and resolved some doubts of the citizens.
Escobedo concluded that the problem is for the companies that import energy and natural gas from the United States.
