Wilner Metelus, social researcher and president of the Citizen's Committee for the Defense of Naturalized and Afro-Mexicans (CCDNAM) demanded justice for the murder of a Haitian man in a shooting that took place one block from the Swap Meet in Las Carpas Viejas, located at 5 y 10.
Through Twitter, Wilner condemned the crime and called for an investigation by the authorities.

The incident occurred last Saturday around 1 p.m. on Dátiles Street in Lilas neighborhood. The reasons for the shooting have yet to be determined, it left one man with a gunshot wound who had to be taken to the hospital, while the deceased was left lying on the pavement.

Five bullet shells were found at the site, as well as a car that had been hit by the shots.
So far, the authorities have not been able to arrest anyone related to these assaults.
