Through a press release, Facebook officially revealed Viewpoints, a new app that will be used for market research that will reward users for participating in surveys, tasks and research. According to the company, the information obtained will be used to improve its products, such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, Portal and Oculus.

Facebook Viewpoints will work similarly (but not the same) to Google Rewards. In this new application, every time you complete a task you will be awarded a number of points. Then, when you reach a specific amount of points, you can convert them into money and withdraw them through PayPal.

Of course, an important part of this type of program is the information that companies collect from you. So, Facebook assured that yes, you will have to give your name, surname, gender, age, country of residence and maybe more data depending on the task, but that you will always know in advance what data you will be providing before starting.
