With an extension of 102 meters long, Querétaro broke the Guinness Record of preparing the largest taco in the world this Sunday, which was made in the Madero walkway of the state capital and more than 10 thousand persons were witnessing.
According to official reports, they used 1.2 tons of tortillas, and 507.15 kilos of carnitas (pork beef); In addition, the process was certified by a notary public and as established by the Guinness Record organization.
"I have fully complied with everything stipulated before the Guinness Record guidelines and we will be breaking the first Guinness in the history of Querétaro," said Alejandro Paredes Resendiz, organizer of the event.
The organizations that participated in the elaboration were the Autonomous University of Querétaro, Universidad Anáhuac, Universidad Cuahutemoc; as well as Carnitas el pariente, Los Correa, Don Panchito, Alex Paredes, tortilleria “canoe” , carnitas Arreola, Oxxo, Carnes suprema Lidia, Asociación Ganadera Local de Porcicultores de Querétaro, asociación ganadera local de Querétaro, and the Cámara Nacional de Comercio (CANACO).
