People of Tijuana won’t lie: many of us run errands in San Diego, whether it is cheaper or for the life and quality of the product. If you do this, it is better to be well informed about the quantity you are permitted to cross for each product, as you could have issues on the border.

According to the Tax Administration Service (SAT, for its acronym in Spanish) and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (SAGARPA, for its acronym in Spanish), it is allowed to cross milk from the United States to Mexico, either pasteurized or ultra pasteurized liquid, canned condensed, powdered and even breast milk. As long as it meets the following:

• Must be in full packaging
• Tagged in English or Spanish
• With seal of health authority
• And in the permitted amounts of each type.
