Tijuana Has a New Immigrant Embassy

The civil association Angeles de la Frontera, also known as Border Angels, who are responsible for events such as opening the border gates at the Binational Park in Playas de Tijuana and all kinds of actions in support of immigrants, are those who inaugurated yesterday the Immigrant Embassy of Tijuana, being the first of its kind in our city.

In order to provide support to families and individuals who have been deported, of any nationality, and who are in our city, the services they will offer will be free legal, educational and employment counseling.

The civil association has volunteers from Mexico, U.S.A. and Europe who want to support anybody who's struggling with any immigrant situation. According to Enrique Morones Careaga, founder of Angeles de la Frontera, this embassy will be "a shelter of hope, a significant space to be close to the international wall. "

Currently, our city has become a refuge not only for deportees but for immigrants from many parts of the world, such as the case of the Haitian and Venezuelan community, who due to internal situations in their countries are looking for a better place to live and find in Tijuana a space to improve your situation.
