On Tuesday, March 21, Tijuana welcomed spring season with rain and strong winds as well as low temperatures. Though these weather conditions have now stopped and there is currently a “calm period” with no rainfall, this will only last a few hours.
According to The Weather Channel, light rain will come back to the region starting at 7 PM on Tuesday. These conditions will continue throughout the early morning and the morning of Wednesday, March 22 until 10 AM. On Thursday, showers will come back from the early morning until 2 PM approximately.
The Civil Protection Agency of Baja California issued a statement where they warned people about these weather conditions this Tuesday and they also warned about the chance of sleet and snow in the state’s mountains. It is recommended that people reduce urban and road mobility as well as avoid crossing water currents.
National Meteorological Services added that, besides this rainfall, strong winds with gusts of 50 km/h to 60 km/h will come back. Maximum temperatures in the next 2 days will reach 16°C while minimum temperatures will drop to 10°C.
