WalletHub compared more than 180 cities in the United States, through 41 key security indicators, to find the safest cities in the country. The report showed that at least three cities in San Diego are among the top.
Because half of Americans fear being victims of a mass shooting or terrorist attack, WalletHub conducted an investigation into the cities of the country.
This is where it was found that Chula Vista, San Diego and Oceanside occupy positions 42, 58 and 71 respectively in the table, as the safest cities.
The report also found that the most insecure cities in the United States are San Bernardino in California, Fort Lauderdale in Florida and St. Louis in Missouri.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the border, recent reports indicated that this year about 1,985 homicides were registered in Tijuana, placing Baja California as the second entity with the most malicious homicides.
