The best Pan de Muerto is found in Rosarito!

The recipe of the house is the key

Pastry chef Elizabeth Hernández and chef Fernando Morales are the owners and founders of the Café Ferellie´s, located in Rosarito.

Ferellie's idea began in November 2015. The name is due to the combination of them both young entrepreneurs, who decided to start their dream in this young and beachy city.

Their distinctive menu includes coffee, crepes, sandwiches, pastries and bagels, but not as we typically know them: the difference at Ferellie’s is that they produce their own dressings and jams.

The special recipe of the house is the cream cheese they use in all their desserts. They even prepare sandwiches with pesto chicken, ranch chicken and the special with arrachera called Ferellie’s.

Everything in this cafe is different and that is why the October star is the famous ‘‘Pan de Muerto’’ for its particular recipe, unique to Ferellie's. It is handmade and filled with the cream cheese of the house.

In addition, they give you the option of dipping it in Belgian chocolate with a touch of espresso. About this, they told us that "once you try it, actually many people say no, that with chocolate and cheese is a lot, too sweet, but all the flavors are balanced together and once you taste it, it is just perfect."

They have already worked on that recipe 4 seasons and it is still a success not only for the people of Rosarito, but also for people who come from Tijuana, San Diego or Tecate, among many others cities. They confess that they keep the recipe a secret to maintain the quality they provide to their customers.

Ferrellie's is a a great place! Definitely worth visiting if you are passing by Rosarito.
