Screens to streamline San Ysidro-Tijuana border crossings have been installed

Even though these screens are meant to streamline border crossings, users have complained that they are not working correctly

The US and Mexico continue to carry out several different strategies and programs to streamline border crossings and decrease waiting times, both for pedestrian and vehicular lanes. However, some of these plans have not been quite successful.

Recently, screens were installed at the US-Mexico border crossing. These are meant to let the driver know that they can continue on when the light is green and that they must wait when the light is red.

This initiative aims to stop line cutting, which causes delays and increases waiting times.

According to users on social media, since early Thursday, November 21, American citizens crossing from the US to Mexico started reporting that these screens are very confusing.

They have stated that they are sent to be inspected even though they are given the green light.

So far, authorities have not made any statements regarding this issue and internet users continue to wait for some sort of explanation.
