If you're a meat lover then you certainly can't miss this event, where the best grillers of Mexico will reunite for the first time in Tijuana for the National Grill Championship to be held at the Caliente Stadium parking lot.

It doesn't matter if you're a professional or if you are driven for the pure passion of a good grilled meat, everyone can participate and win the title of "Grill Master Tijuana." This event is promoted by the Mexican Grillers Association, and there will be more than $150,000 thousand pesos (aprox. 8000 dlls) in prices for the winners.

There will be around 20 recognized chefs as judges, some of the from Baja California and others from the US. The winners of this tournament would be able to represent Mexico at the international tournament in 2017.

Anyway, any good grill contest needs its prime material, the foodies, so if you want to taste this grilled heaven the entrance will only cost $10.00 dlls. You can buy the ticket in boletia or the day of the event. Children under 12 can enter for free.

A food party awaits on July 30th, starting at 1:00 pm. Expect a lot of beef ribs, pork belly, smoked pork loin and a huge "discada" (a cooking disk) with more than 300 kg. of meat.
