ENSENADA.- The category with the highest number of votes, and also one with the clearest winner, Baja's overall best restaurant for 2013 was "Corazón de Tierra" in the Valle de Guadalupe in Ensenada.
Corazón de Tierra, meaning "Heart of Earth", is home to chef Diego Hernández, who has helped give the name of "Baja California" a new meaning, thanks to the excellent dishes he delights one with at his restaurant, radically changing the way the world saw (and even continues to see) Mexican food.
Even better for him, this pioneering spirit has transformed him into one of the focal points credited with beginning a culinary movement in the state.
Located in the Guadalupe Valley, "Corazón de Tierra" was voted also as one of Latin America's best restaurants for 2013 as well.
Congratulations to this magnificent establishment!
