TIJUANA.- With the purpose of improving social aid programs that are directed towards women and achieving integral outcomes in the matter, Tijuana's Mayor, Doctor Jorge Astiazarán Orcí named Berenice Almaraz Montaño as the new director of the City's Institute for Women (INMUJER).
During the ceremony, Mayor Astiazarán pointed out Almaraz's experience with vulnerable groups and non governmental associations is that something extra that a dependency as noble as Inmujer needs to stand out for its social work.
"We should be able to make this government agencies shine with their own light, people should be able to approach them and have efficient results; I am convinced that Inmujer's plans for 2015 will have better outcomes, thanks to the changes that have been made", mentioned the Mayor.
On her behalf, Berenice Almaraz, thanked Mayor Astiazarán for thrusting her with this dependency and explained that she will continue her work to benefit the citizens as it was stipulated in 2015 plan agenda.
