At a press conference, the commercial counselor of Flanders and Brussels of the Belgian Embassy in Mexico, Tom Van Daele, said that the companies he has been representing for the past years are interested in the aviation industry in Baja California, which bare similarities with the onehis country.
He explained that there are four areas in which there is a greater investing interest, that is, in the chemical, logistics, food and aviation. In the latter, there are a thousand 300 million requirements, and for 2029 a demand for materials for 30 thousand 900 aircrafts is expected, which in terms of money means 3.6 trillion dollars.
He added that in the search for synergies and potential collaborations, Baja California's aerospace cluster's visit to Hollandwhich will be held in, has spread to Flanders, a Belgian region that borders with France. This change is in order to serve the interests of both nations on this aspect.
During a press conference held at Tijuana's National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (Canacintra), the agency's director, José López Castellanos, reported that Belgian companies foresee a great demand for aircraft parts in the coming years and that this state's conditions would allow to meet said demand.
