The mayor of Tijuana, Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, had a 5 percentage point increase, becoming the municipal president with the highest approval ratings increase in all of Mexico, according to pollster Mitofsky.
In their poll "Ranking Mitofsky: 150 male and female mayors of Mexico", the pollster made a comparative analysis of the approval ratings of all mayors, from August to Octobre 2023.
Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez was ranked first place on the list of the municipal presidents with the highest popularity during this period, i.e., that in just three months, her approval ratings went from 41.6% to 46.6%.
Caballero is located above Leticia Araiza, mayor of Tepic, Nayarit; and Antonio Ochoa, mayor of Durango, who had an increase of 3.9% and 3.8%, respectively ranking on 2nd and 3rd places.
The mayor also ranked highly on the list of mayors in border cities, way above the mayor of Mexicali, Norma Bustamente; she was ranked three positions in the approval ratings ranking of municipality mayors with the highest number of people in Mexico.
Mayor Montserrat Caballero Ramírez, who presented her Second Governmental Report last October, is working together with the Federation and the state government to make progress in projects of great relevance for the mobility of the city which are being boosted by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, such as the Elevated Viaduct and the Otay II Port of Entry.
