The first meeting for the transition of government in Baja California was held this Monday at the New State Government Center located in Tijuana, and headed by the Governor Elect, Marina del Pilar Avila Olmeda, together with the outgoing government.
In full compliance with the Guidelines of the Law for the Handover and Reception of Public Affairs and Resources for the State of Baja California, especially Articles 3 section I and 13 of the mentioned legal ordinance, in this meeting the heads of each of the areas that are part of the Transition Committees, both incoming and outgoing, were announced.
The above, after last June 15 the General Council of the Baja California State Electoral Institute made the Declaration of Validity of the Election to the State Governorship for the 2021-2027 period, being Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda subscribed as Governor Elect of Baja California, she was legally authorized to carry out the transition.
Marina del Pilar pointed out that Catalino Zavala Márquez was appointed with full powers as General Coordinator of the Liaison Commissions of the Incoming Authority, so he will be in charge of conducting the corresponding work with the Outgoing Government, which will remain at the forefront until October 31.
Rosina del Villar Casas, Marco A. Moreno Mexia, Miriam Elizabeth Cano Núñez, Kurt Ignacio Honold Morales, Lourdes Cañez Martínez, Alfredo Álvarez Cárdenas, Melba Adriana Olvera Rodríguez, Gilberto Herrera Solórzano, Rocío López Gorosave, Juan José Pon Méndez and Magali Ronquillo Palacios belong to the different coordinations.
The Elected Governor pointed out that the collaboration between her administration and the current one will be key in the development of beneficial actions for the state of Baja California, since it will allow, as of November 1st, to start a government committed to the principles of social welfare that characterize the Fourth Transformation. During the meeting, different issues related to the transition of the state government in the areas of security, economy, public finances, development, as well as other topics of public interest in the state were discussed.
