Baja California started the day with 297 active cases of coronavirus last Tuesday, of which 126 are registered in Tijuana, 107 in Mexicali, 27 in Ensenada, 15 in Rosarito, 12 in San Quintin, six in Tecate and four in San Felipe.
According to the geolocation report presented today by the head of the Secretariat of Health, Alonso Perez Rico, in Tijuana alone there are six neighborhoods where these types of cases are concentrated: El Refugio, Camino Verde, El Pipila, Abedules, Villa del Real and Francisco Villa.
In the rest of the municipalities, the neighborhoods with most active cases are the following:
-Tecate: Lomas de Santa Anita and Colinas del Cuchuma.
-Playas de Rosarito: Constitucion (Ampliacion Constitucion), Lucio Blanco, and Plan Libertador.
-Mexicali: Villa Florida, Pro Hogar, Villa del Rey Segunda Etapa, Valle del Pedregal, Mayakhan, and Pueblo Nuevo.
-Valle de Mexicali: Guadalupe Victoria, Nuevo Leon, and Benito Juarez.
-San Felipe: Los Arcos and Las Minitas.
-Ensenada: Villa Residencial del Real, El Maneadero, and Ejido Ruiz Cortinez.
-San Quintin: San Quintin, Camalu, and Nuevo Baja California.
The authorities reminded these neighborhoods´ population that swap meet markets may only install stalls dedicated to the sale of food, non-perishable products and cleaning products. Meanwhile, churches will only be able to operate with a 25% capacity.
