Canelo Alvarez, Mexican professional boxer, announced on social media that he’ll fight this upcoming December 15th against the British boxer Rocky Fielding at Madison Square Garden.
“I’m happy to announce my next fight. This upcoming December 15th at the MSG in New York. I’m taking another great challenge in my career, representing the WBC as a 160 lbs. lightweight champion, fighting for the 168 lbs. world-title vs current WBA champion Rocky Fielding”.
The Aztec pugilist won the Middleweight WBC and WBA, he defeated unanimously the Kazakh fighter Gennady Golovkin, last September 15th.
After the victory achieved at Las Vegas, Nevada, Canelo Alvarez showed his enthusiasm to fight again this 2018; subsequently, Oscar de la Hoya confirmed. However, no opponent has been confirmed, so it was formalized this Friday afternoon that the new rival would be the current middleweight champion of the WBA, Rocky Fielding.
