Colectivo 9 is a somewhat hidden place, (yet pretty easy to find) located along the emblematic Revolución Avenue in Downtown Tijuana, on Calle 6ta and 7ma to be exact.
This folkloric place, smacked down right in the heart of Tijuana, where different business, cab routes and most of all people are found, is where nine colleagues united to create this initiative that offers a great variety of food and drink for regional diners.
Options span from Lebanese/Mediterranean food at Beirut; shrimp pozole, tostadas and tacos and seafood in general by La Martina, Asian trends by Tatami, with teriyaki, yakimeshi and cones, where the main star becomes the grill; delicious hamburgers with homemade baked bread at Indie Burgers where "La Cochi", (beef, pork, bacon, carnitas, breaded onions and Jack cheese) is a must-have and the most filling; dairy products, jams, sauces, cheese and more cheese, made with Italian techniques in Santa Brigada; empanadas for every taste accompanied by a house salad at 19/87 Empanadas and Mexican cuisine by Chalita, where you will find 'chile en nogada', and the very famous Mexican tortilla soup. Alcoholic beverages are found in Barrica 9, where you will be able to taste the best craft beer and wine selection to go with your meal.
This proposal creates a big family where the people who visit it varies and where, besides the quality in the food, its warmth and professionalism is appreciated. Colectivo 9 makes you feel at home!
So, if you're looking for a place to share a meal with your loved ones, this project consists mainly on young entrepreneurs which you should visit as soon as possible. It's open Tuesday through Sunday from 1:00 p.m. If you happen to stop by, please tell us about your experience!
