One of the 16 road repair public projects of the RESPIRA program began in Ensenada, led by the Governor of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda. Around 200,000 Ensenada natives will benefit with this commitment to promote and strengthen road and routes.
The governor began the restoration of Avenida Gastélum, which will repair around 22,000 square meters and benefit approximately 19,000 people.
The goal of these public works, she said, is that roads are more agile for the thousands of people who drive through the municipality, which will allow them to save time and have a better quality of life.
The public works on Avenida Gastélum, the governor stated, consist of repairing potholes and repaving five centimeters of thickness.
Marina del Pilar explained that this stage of road restoration of the RESPIRA program will include 138,285 square meters in Ensenada. The investment goes all the way up to $58 million pesos for 2022, of which 40% will be used for specific projects.
In her speech to Ensenada natives, Ávila Olmeda highlighted that her administration’s goal is that all Baja Californians live well, and for that, efficient mobility is very important to have so that people can use their time more positively, especially for the well-being of all families.
The following people were present as the public work launched: Municipal President of the XXIV Municipal Administration of Ensenada, Armando Ayala Robles, and the Secretary of Infrastructure, Urban Development, and Territory Redesign, Arturo Espinoza Jaramillo.
