The Governor of Baja California voted in a historical moment for Mexican democracy

Baja Californian governor, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, voted in the presidential recall referendum of Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, today on Sunday, April 10, 2022 . In addition, the Governor invited citizens of Baja California to participate in the popular recall election, an unprecedented moment in our country’s history.

The Governor stated that those who don’t know where their polling place is to visit the website: ubicatucasilla.ine.mx, where they will be able to find out the exact location.

She said that people will make their opinions heard by going to the established polling places, as well as the special polling places, in case they need them.

In Ensenada:

In Playas de Rosarito:

  • Plaza Comercial Pabellón

In Mexicali:

  • Universidad Xochicalco
  • El Teatro del Estado (State Theater)

In Tijuana:

  • Plaza Paseo 2000
  • "Abelardo L. Rodríguez" International Airport
  • Torre de Aguacaliente
  • Plaza Gran Florido parking lot

Finally, she reminded everyone of the importance that citizens make their voices heard and the great opportunity a recall election has to punish inefficient officials, and stand by those who are actually helping to solve people’s needs.
