Less than a month away from starting her administration as governor of the State of Baja California, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda, of the Morena party, has the full support of Mexico's President Andrés Manuel López Obrador. "And to express our support to the new governor, so there is a transition of government on very good terms, and there is no confrontation", said the president from the National Palace in front of members of the Mexican press.
López Obrador expressed directly to the people of Baja California that he will continue to support Baja California once Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda starts as governor, strengthening the coordination between the Federation and the State for the wellbeing of Baja Californians.
"The new governor, that she (Marina del Pilar) is going to be, as established by the Constitution, but also as decided by the people, the authority, that she be the governor of Baja California, and she is going to receive all our support, all the support of the federal government, we are going to continue supporting Baja California", added the head of the Federal Executive Power.
The President recalled that he will visit Baja California between October 15 and 17 to inaugurate works and hold a series of meetings to support the State of Baja California, one of the entities with the greatest presidential support during the current six-year term. In this regard, Marina del Pilar Ávila Olmeda thanked the President of Mexico for his comments, and seconded the genuine interest in working together for the wellbeing of Baja Californians, as she considered that through unity we can achieve the objectives that will change the lives of women and men in the state for the better.
He also pointed out that, in the governments emanating from the Fourth Transformation, the people are the ones who make the decisions, so there is a very good spirit to collaborate together with society and all levels of government to move these transformative projects forward.
In the same sense, he asserted that in the incoming government there is complete willingness to work so that the transition of government goes smoothly and with common agreements for the good of the population, who already reiterated in the ballot box their absolute confidence in the results offered by the Fourth Transformation.
