This July 3, 2021 will be held the Inclusive Children's Mini Olympics, according to the Municipal Sports Institute of Tijuana (Imdet), along with the System for the Integral Development of the Family (SDIF), who are making preparations for the event in which about 150 children and adolescents will participate.
The director of Imdet, María Antonieta Gómez Gómez, commented that with this type of event they seek to participate in healthy socializing, with inclusion and motor development. "We are very well coordinated with the other agencies, so that this second edition of the Mini Olympics will be a success, as was the first one".
The meeting between Imdet and SDIF, together with the Welfare Secretariat, is part of the planning of sports activities of the municipal government to strengthen, from a very young age, the reactivation in children, one in which children with different abilities also participate, assisted by parents.
The Imdet promoters and the staff of the participating agencies will guide the children and their parents in the following activities: 50 meter bike races, ball throwing, obstacle course, frisbee and speed races.
Also participating in the tripartite meeting was the civil association Club de Niños y Niñas de Tijuana, which seeks the development and strengthening of values so that adolescents will be, in the future, leaders with a social focus.
