Unfortunately, the permitted capacity in Baja California will have to be reduced due to the increase of coronavirus cases in the region. This was announced this Sunday, April 25, by the State Health Secretary, Dr. Alonso Perez Rico.

It was specified that public spaces and gymnasiums will have to have a reduction in the allowed capacity, now they can only have 30% and 50% of their capacity, respectively. This reduction is due to the fact that the limits established last week have not helped to stop the number of cases of coronavirus.

For this reason, public spaces such as beaches, parks and other recreational spaces will only be able to operate at 30% of their capacity, while gyms will only be able to include a maximum of 50% of their capacity.

Perez Rico added that we are quite close to reaching, once again, the color orange and that when we enter this coloration, it will not be long before we reach red. He also added that Mexicali is the municipality with the highest incidence of infection.

In the same way, he warned that precautions should be taken starting today, since the third wave of coronavirus is about to arrive and it will be important to take measures so that it does not "hit us so hard".
