U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) created a mobile app that will allow travelers to expedite their crossings into the United States.
CBP One will guide users to the appropriate services based on their particular needs, such as reporting their arrival, completing documents or scheduling appointments for CBP services. For travelers, in particular, the benefit will be the ability to expedite their trip to the U.S. by providing information before or after their arrival or departure.
This app also increases transparency for CBP stakeholders through online access to service requests, live status updates and direct chat services.
CBP One reportedly began the rollout of its features, allowing brokers and carriers to schedule perishable cargo inspections and travelers to request an I-94, view an existing I-94 or their previous travel history for the past five years. Plus check waiting times at the land border from their mobile device.
