The government of Ensenada published on its official website that as of Monday, February 8, the boardwalk of Playa Hermosa will be closed to the public due to the reconstruction of a priority project for the area.

According to the information provided by Hernan King Espinoza, head of Zofemat, the section from Estancia Boulevard to De las Palmas Street will be closed. In addition, to avoid any type of mishap, the sandy area will also be closed.

He noted that those who usually go to exercise in the area will be able to access but through Floresta Street, in the area of Conalep and Pacifica. The work does not have a definite completion date, however, the press release on the official website of the Ensenada City Hall states that it could take up to 6 months.

"It is estimated that the execution of the works will take about six months, we know that for those who frequent this space it will be a long time, but the wait will be worth it, because between August and September they will be able to enjoy a proper boardwalk," said the official.
