The San Diego Latino Film Festival, of the Media Arts Center, celebrates its twenty-sixth anniversary with more than a hundred screenings of Latin films.
Among the films, enjoy the presence of Mexican actors such as Gael García Bernal, from "Acusada" or Luis Gerardo Méndez, from "Bayoneta". Also, Damian Alcazar, the star of Netflix series "Narcos", will be attending three nights of tribute, from March 18 to 20.
In addition, due its proximity to the border, this year's festival will also present the 15 finalists of the Migrant Voices challenge.
Through it, they openly express the voices of immigrants who have arrived to the border, their daily lives and the struggle to get caught in the crosshairs of a binational debate. After the screening, the two winners of the prizes will be announced.
