Baja Californians Win 4 Gold Medals at the National Olympiad

Silver and bronze as well

During the first day of the 2018 National Olympiad held in Querétaro on Friday, May 18, Baja Californians put the state on a higher level thanks to their participation, in which they were able to stand out by winning gold, silver and bronze medals in the different categories.

According to a post shared on social networks by the governor of Baja California, Francisco Vega de Lamadrid, the youngsters won four gold medals, two silver and one bronze. The first gold was obtained by Enrique Morales in shot put in the children's category with a mark of 17.35 meters.

However, he was not the only one, as other Baja Californians also achieved victories:

Gold medal - Daniel Gutiérrez in the 100 meters flat with 11.19 seconds
Gold medal - Karla Magaña in the discus throw with a distance of 45.43 meters
Gold, silver and bronze medal - long jump event with the athletes Ana Paula Pollorena, Regina Ibarguen and Lizeth Oliva.
Silver Medal - Grissel Eli Soto in junior women's javelin throw competition with a mark of 44.20 meters.
