Mad Max: Fury Road, protagonizada por Tom Hardy y Charlize Theron se ha coronado como la mejor película del 2015, así lo declaró la National Board of Review, compitiendo contra otras grandes como The Martian, The Hateful Eight e Inside Out.

Pero aunque recibió el premio mayor, fue el único que ganó y The Martian fue el que se llevó 3 premios por parte de la NBR. Mad Max: Fury Road costó 150 millones de dólares y recaudó 375.8 millones alrededor del mundo.

The Martian, por otro lado, se llevó los reconocimientos como mejor director a Ridley Scott, mejor actor a Matt Damon y mejor guión adaptado a Drew Goddard.
