U.S. Border Patrol and Mexicali Police Strengthen Binational Security Efforts

Mexicali police officers and U.S. Border Patrol agents joined forces to strengthen the region's national security.

Mexicali’s Municipal Public Security Directorate and the U.S. Border Patrol El Centro Sector have strengthened their strategic alliance with the aim of boosting regional security and facing together current immigration challenges.

At a recent meeting in El Centro, California, U.S. Border Patrol Sector Chief Gregory K. Bovino and Municipal Police Director Luis Felipe Chan Baltazar reaffirmed their commitment to work together to ensure security on both sides of the border.

Both authorities agreed to intensify binational operations, including joint patrolling, intelligence exchange, and actions to improve the quality of life for the region’s residents.

Chan Baltazar thanked U.S. Border Patrol for their support and highlighted that this collaboration, sponsored by Mayor Norma Bustamante, is crucial to face the current challenges and guarantee a safer future for Mexicali.
