Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana announced the closure of a section of the left lane on Vía Rápida Oriente, just a few meters before Clinic 1, due to repair work, which will begin at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, April 2.

Repairs will be carried out by the Secretariat of Territorial, Urban, and Environmental Development (SDTUA) through the Municipal Directorate of Works and Urban Infrastructure (DOIUM). Crews will be working on the left lane of Vía Rápida Oriente in the direction from El Florido to Zona del Río, with work expected to conclude around 5:00 PM on the same day.

To ensure the safety of those traveling through the area, traffic signs will be installed to notify drivers of the suspension of vehicular traffic flow along an approximately 400 lineal meters of the left lane to facilitate necessary maneuvers. Protective barriers will also be placed.

Road repairs will involve removing wet material and then filling the area with hydraulic base material, which will be compacted in layers. Drivers are advised to proceed with caution in the area to avoid accidents that could endanger the safety of Tijuana natives.

The 25th Tijuana City Hall urges the public to take necessary precautions to avoid delays, such as using alternate routes like Bulevar Insurgentes, leaving early, and allowing extra time for travel. Drivers are also asked to respect traffic signs and remain patient due to any inconveniences caused by the construction work.
