To safeguard the well-being of the population and maintain order during the current holiday season, the 25th City Hall led by Mayor Ismael Burgueño Ruiz of Tijuana has intensified surveillance and control operations in high-traffic areas through the Directorate of Inspection and Verification.
The head of the agency, José Antonio Olivas Heredia, reported that personnel under his charge remain actively present in strategic locations such as seaside resorts, Esperanto Park, the San Ysidro and Otay ports of entry, and the Playas de Tijuana pier. In these areas, key aspects such as hygiene, safety, and proper permits for street vendors are being monitored.
Specifically, in seaside resorts, inspections focus on verifying necessary safety measures, emergency exits, and valid permits to ensure families can visit these spaces with no issues.
Olivas Heredia explained that the operations involve patrols to check that street vendors comply with regulations. If unauthorized activity is detected, vendors are instructed to visit Municipal Palace offices to regularize their situation.
José Antonio Olivas stated that operations began last Thursday and will continue through Sunday as part of a preventive strategy aimed at providing safe and orderly spaces for residents and visitors.
Additionally, Directorate of Inspection and Verification staff is carrying out visits to nightclubs to ensure that minors are not allowed entry, operating hours are respected, and establishments comply with municipal regulations.
These actions reaffirm the commitment of the 25th City Hall of Tijuana to maintaining a safe, orderly city with public spaces in optimal condition for everyone to enjoy during this holiday season.
