Outlook: This was supposed to be a rebuilding season for the Mustangs. It doesn't appear to be. Coach Lewis said it appears the team has found a rhythm with a handful of young players, starting the season unbeaten in its first five matches. Otay Ranch then finished the preseason with five loses in a row with most of its starting defenders out with injuries. The Mustangs are looking to get back on track. Defenders Jesse Castañeda, Chris Medina and Adolfo Gaspar are expected to return from their injuries and should help solidify the back line.
