The Playas de Rosarito City Hall unanimously approved the purchase of 20 portable body cameras, which will be assigned to officers of the Secretariat of Citizen Security. This measure primarily aims to equip officers with specialized video recording tools to enhance their work performance.

“In my administration, security is a priority and we are committed to using technology to improve the services we provide to the public. This tool will significantly increase transparency in Secretariat of Citizen Security operations,” said Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito said.

The mayor added that this project’s first phase includes purchasing 20 high-tech lapel cameras for Secretariat of Citizen Security police agents, with an investment of 1,425,000 pesos. The funding covers the operational platform, necessary training for proper use, data services for the cameras to enable 12-hour continuous live streaming, and secure video storage. The cameras will also allow real-time monitoring of officers’ activities and include geolocation tracking, even when the camera is turned off.

In another item of the agenda, City Hall approved a 100% waiver of late fees and fines for unpaid taxes, fees, and improvement contributions from previous fiscal years, valid until December 31, 2025.

Moreover, an investment of 3,950,000 pesos was authorized for the implementation of the Temporary Emergency Assistance Program (PATEM), which aims to provide employment and financial support to Playas de Rosarito residents facing economic vulnerability and unemployment.

“With this program, we will support unemployed young adult residents of Playas de Rosarito who have flexible schedules. Together, we will carry out work that will make our municipality more beautiful,” the mayor underscored.

A significant donation from Patronato Pro Bomberos, A.C.—a high-tech drone with accessories valued at 129,964 pesos—to enhance the operational capabilities of the firefighter department was also approved in this meeting.

The City Hall also approved: the Internal Regulations of the Secretariat of Economic Development, reforms on fireworks regulations, civic order, and justice, a regulatory reform on real estate registry, and financial adjustments to the 2025 Income Budget and municipal agencies (PRODEUR, IMAC, IMJUVER).

A loan agreement between the municipal government and the Tax Administration Service (SAT) regarding the SAT office in the Municipal Palace, valid until September 30, 2027, was also approved.

With these actions, the Municipal Government led by Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito reaffirms its commitment to public security, administrative transparency, resident well-being, and the comprehensive development of the municipality.
