Mexicali’s Push to Eliminate Illegal Dump Sites and Create a Cleaner Environment

A property at Ferrocarril neighborhood benefited from the city's cleanup initiative.

The government of Mexicali continues to clean up vacant lots to eliminate sources of infection, and on this occasion, a property located at Ferrocarril neighborhood in Bulevar López Mateos Boulevard was cleaned.

A total of 42 cubic meters of waste were removed from this site, resulting in a fine of 8,190 pesos. Additionally, a fine of 100 UMAS (New Unit of Measure and Update) per property will be applied, adding 22,600 pesos to the total.

Meanwhile, the Director of Municipal Public Services, Juan Francisco Garza Ceseña, encourages the community to dispose of old furniture, debris, and branches at Centro de Transferencia el Paraíso, from Monday to Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., free of charge.

All the removed material was transported to a proper landfill for proper disposal.
