Mayor Rocio Adame Muñoz of Rosarito swore in the new board of directors of the Tourism and Conventions Committee (COTUCO) of Playas de Rosarito for 2025 in the Councilor Room, where Paul Corona Rodríguez assumed the position as this organization’s honorary president.
During her speech, the mayor recognized Paul Corona for his career and experience in the tourism industry, qualities that demonstrate his ability to lead COTUCO.

“I acknowledge the work Paul Corona has carried out and his extensive experience in tourism and promotion of the city. I am confident that the contributions made to boost our community will drive economic growth and development,” stated Adame Muñoz, Mayor of Rosarito.
The mayor also thanked the trust placed in her proposal to integrate this new path for this municipal agency, which was unanimously approved by its members. She also highlighted that significant challenges lie ahead including Tianguis Turístico, which will be an economic catalyst for the municipality and Baja California.

The new president of COTUCO Rosarito, Paul Corona Rodríguez, thanked the invitation and the trust that Mayor Rocio Adame placed in him to join the team. He committed to fulfilling this responsibility with transparency and integrity.
Corona Rodríguez reiterated the importance of working together with all entities in the value chain to establish mechanisms that allow progress to be made on several issues to help the industry grow, become competitive, and contribute to the local economy.

The 2025 board of directors is composed of Vice President Octavio Machado and Treasurer Andrés Gómez. With this new administration, COTUCO Rosarito is expected to continue boosting Playas de Rosarito’s tourism development and establishing the municipality as an attractive and competitive destination nationwide and internationally.
