Mayor Rocio Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito attended the swearing-in ceremony of Elmer Peña Ruvalcaba as the new president of the Mexican Chamber of the Construction Industry (CMIC) for the Tijuana-Tecate-Rosarito delegation.
“I congratulate Elmer Peña Ruvalcaba and his new steering committee, and I wish them the greatest success in this new chapter. I am confident that his leadership and experience will be key to continuing to drive the development of the region’s construction industry,” said the mayor.

She explained that CMIC’s strong track record as a driving force of economic and social development is widely recognized in Playas de Rosarito and that their unwavering commitment to the country’s development makes them a fundamental ally for the growth and prosperity of our region.
Mayor Rocio Adame of Rosarito pointed out that collaboration between the public and private sectors is crucial to building a better future for all. CMIC’s management capabilities are essential for carrying out infrastructure projects that improve the quality of life in Baja California and, consequently, in Playas de Rosarito.
She also acknowledged the work of outgoing president, Gabriel Vizcaíno, who led the business organization for two consecutive terms.

CMIC to Strengthen Unity with Government Institutions and Civil Organizations
Elmer Peña Ruvalcaba stated that his work plan is based on four pillars: social responsibility and training, effective business representation, as well as principles and values for the organization.
He reiterated that strengthening the organization through unity within the industry and fostering connections with academia, government institutions, and civil organizations is one of his top priorities.
He will be accompanied on the committee by: Ana Karen Gutiérrez, secretary; Ricardo Castro, treasurer; as well as Ramiro Gutiérrez Padilla, in Housing and Urban Development; Héctor Peterson, in the Water and Sanitation Commission; Arturo Guerrero Báez, in Public Works; José Luis Sandoval, in Special Projects; and José Luis Guerrero, in Training, Innovation, and Development.
