Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito led the Peacebuilding Security Council, which is a joint effort involving representatives from security forces across all three levels of government.
During the meeting, the mayor stressed the crucial importance of dialogue and interinstitutional collaboration to develop effective strategies that ensure peace and security for the region’s residents, thereby strengthening surveillance in the municipality.
Leonardo Barreras Vega, Technical Secretary of the Coordination for the Peacebuilding Security Council in the Tijuana Region from Mexico’s SSPC, highlighted the relevance of implementing new federal security strategies promoted by the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, through the Secretary of Security, Omar García Harfuch.

The meeting included the participation of heads and representatives from the following institutions: Secretariat of National Defense, Secretariat of the Navy, Secretariat of Citizen Security, the National Guard, Citizen Security State Force, Secretariat of Well-Being, Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office, the State Attorney General’s Office, National Intelligence Center, Physical Security of Pemex, Secretariat of the Armed Navy, the 28th Infantry Battalion of Tijuana, the State Investigation Agency, and the Control, Command, Communication, Computing, Quality, and Citizen Contact Center (C5).
This meeting reaffirms authorities’ commitment to working in a coordinated manner to protect and ensure the well-being of citizens.
