Mayor Rocio Adame of the 10th City Hall of Playas de Rosarito delivered elementary and secondary school certificates to 239 people who participated in the “Nos Toca Estudiar” (It’s Our Turn to Study) campaign, carried out in coordination with the National Institute for Adult Education (INEA) through the Secretariat of Social Well-Being.

“Since the beginning of my administration, I instructed the implementation of this program, and I am very pleased because, in these last 4 months, a total of 239 individuals have benefited; 83 at the elementary school level and 156 at the secondary school level. With this initiative, we are addressing educational gaps at the basic level by reaching the most remote communities,” the mayor said.

Mayor Adame Muñoz of Rosarito congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to celebrate this achievement with their families while also spreading the word so more people can benefit from this initiative.

Meanwhile, Samuel Paredes Valdespino, from the INEA Operational Unit in Baja California, thanked the mayor for her support and commitment to implementing this program. He also acknowledged the graduates’ efforts and urged them to continue their studies to improve their life opportunities.

At the event, a collaboration agreement between the 10th City Hall of Playas de Rosarito and INEA was signed, with the goal of reducing illiteracy rates in the city through the “Nos Toca Estudiar” campaign during this municipal administration.

The event was attended by the Orion Color Guard and Marching Band from Abraham Lincoln Secondary School No. 32; Councilor Graciela Aguirre Higuera, President of the Education, Science, and Technology Commission of the 10th City Hall; Municipal Secretary of Social Well-Being, Ilse Rodríguez Ramos; Director of Priority Programs, Haydee García González; and Rogelio Aranda, Director of the Municipal Government.
