Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito celebrated the city’s achievement of the National Bronze Certification for Tourism Quality, a recognition that positions Playas de Rosarito as a top-tier destination in Mexico. The award highlights the outstanding collaboration, dedication, and excellence demonstrated by the local tourism sector.
“I wish to thank and congratulate every member of our tourism industry’s value chain. This certification is clear proof of the hard work and constant dedication that each of you puts in day after day,” the mayor said.
The head of the Municipal Department of Economic Development and Tourism (SEDETUR), Irán Leonardo Verdugo, reaffirmed that an unshakable commitment to quality and the continuous pursuit of improvement are fundamental pillars for the sustained development and success of the municipality.
“Just as Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito has pointed out, by working together, we will raise our standards even higher and provide memorable experiences for our visitors. It’s important to highlight that Baja California—and particularly Playas de Rosarito—has set a national precedent by becoming the first state to audit all its municipalities for this prestigious National Tourism Quality Certification,” Leonardo Verdugo stated.
He also acknowledged the vision and leadership of Baja California’s Secretary of Tourism Miguel Aguíñiga Rodríguez for strongly promoting this valuable initiative, which underscores the state’s commitment to tourism excellence.
The National Tourism Quality Certification, awarded by Mexico’s Department of Tourism (SECTUR), is a seal of recognition for service providers and tourist destinations that meet rigorous quality standards, comply with current legal and regulatory frameworks, and demonstrate a constant drive for continuous improvement in their operations.
