Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito participated in the closing ceremony of the “Comercio Seguro” (Safe Commerce) workshop, implemented by the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) of Playas de Rosarito. 100 people from 80 commercial establishments in the city also participated in this event.
“As you know, the safety of our municipality and our citizens is one of my administration’s essential priorities. It makes me proud to see the enthusiastic response and commitment shown by those who participated in this training session, which provided them with the necessary tools and knowledge to protect their businesses and customers,” the mayor said, highlighting the importance of this program.
During this workshop, participants from restaurants such as Pelicanos, Mariscos Popotla Jr., Pancake Republic, and others addressed key issues such as security measures, first aid, civil protection, and fire safety. In turn, their ability to respond to risk situations, coordinate with authorities, and use life-saving technological tools was strengthened.
Mayor Adame Muñoz of Rosarito acknowledged the efforts and dedication of Héctor Manzo Ruvalcaba, head of SSC, as well as Directorate of Planning, Prevention, and Fight Against Crime staff, led by Hugo Antonio Hernández, who made this program possible.
“This program is an important step toward building a safer Playas de Rosarito for everyone,” stated the mayor, who invited society and the government to continue working together to achieve this goal.
This closing ceremony was attended by Stephanie Celeste Esquivel Ortiz, councilor president of the Security Commission; Alan Bautista Plascencia, councilor president of the Tourism and Economic Development Commission; Leonardo Topete Ceceña, deputy director of Preventive Programs at SSC; Edgardo Josué Quintero Mendieta, head of Prevention, Investigation, and Emergency Response at the Directorate of Civil Protection and Firefighters; Josefina Sánchez Aguirre, traditional cook from Hacienda de Badú; and Paul Corona Rodríguez and Irán Leonardo Verdugo Contreras, president and managing director of COTUCO Rosarito.
