Mayor Rocio Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito emphasized her dedication to keeping the city safe for both residents and visitors by supporting an awareness workshop organized by the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) in partnership with the Tourism and Convention Committee (COTUCO).
“Security is a top priority for our government. By training our members, we are aiming to ensure that all visitors feel safe and welcome in our city. Tianguis Turístico is a unique opportunity to show the world what Rosarito has to offer and we want to do it in the best way possible,” the managing director of COTUCO, Irán Leonardo Verdugo Contreras, said.
The main goal of this workshop taught to this agency’s members is to prepare officials and help them provide excellent assistance during the upcoming Tianguis Turístico, which is an internationally renowned event that will position Playas de Rosarito as a world-class destination.
For a week, participants will receive training in several issues such as assistance protocols; language management and conflict resolution; surveillance and coordination in tourist areas with other security forces; knowledge of Rosarito’s tourist destinations, and promoting a positive image of the city.
Thus, Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito reaffirms her commitment to sustainable tourism development and the security of all residents.
This formal ceremony was attended by the Secretary of Citizen Security, Héctor Manzo Ruvalcaba, and the Metropolitan Delegate of Tourism, Martha Mendoza Montes.
