The municipal government, led by Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito, in collaboration with the Municipal Youth Institute (INJUVER), carried out a successful cleanup event at the iconic Playa El Bebe, reaffirming its commitment to protecting and conserving the environment.
The event saw the active participation of 60 volunteers, including City Hall members, enthusiastic young people, and committed citizens who all joined forces to remove waste and make this important natural space more beautiful.
Thanks to the valuable collaboration of the Federal Maritime-Terrestrial Zone (ZOFEMAT) and the organization “SALVEMOS LA PLAYA,” over 100 kilograms of waste— primarily plastics—were collected. These materials pose a threat to marine life and the region’s ecological balance.
IMJUVER Director Josué Armando Zamora expressed his deep gratitude to all participants for their dedication and collaborative spirit, emphasizing the importance of these initiatives in fostering environmental awareness and building a more sustainable future for Playas de Rosarito.
“This cleanup event is a clear example of the power of unity and civic commitment. I thank every volunteer, ZOFEMAT, and members of Salvemos la Playa for their invaluable contribution. Together, we are making history in protecting our natural treasures,” the IMJUVER director said.
The municipal government reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting actions that encourage environmental conservation and citizen participation, aiming to preserve the beauty and natural wealth of Playas de Rosarito for future generations.
