Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito met with families affected by recent fires in the upper area of the Primo Tapia Delegation to announce the start of reconstruction work on 9 homes and renovation work on 3 others with an investment of 3.7 million pesos.

“We are here today to keep our promise and provide these families with the opportunity to have a proper home. We know they have been through difficult times, but they are not alone. We will work together to rebuild their lives,” stated Mayor Adame Muñoz of Rosarito.

The mayor toured the devastated area and issued instructions to begin the construction of nine homes. With this action, the government fulfills Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo’s and Governor Marina del Pilar’s commitment to guaranteeing everyone’s right to a proper home.

The Secretary of Urban Development and Services (SDSU), Luis Fernando González Vergara, explained that nine homes will each have a construction area of 18 square meters, while three will be partially rebuilt according to their needs. He highlighted the importance of providing a new opportunity for families who lost their homes.

During this visit, the affected families received comprehensive aid from the Municipal Secretariat of Social Well-Being including food, backpacks, and school supplies for students. Additionally, birth certificates were provided to them through the Civil Registry Office.
