The municipal dog pound in Playas de Rosarito was the setting for the unveiling of a vibrant mural designed to encourage reflection on responsible pet care and adoption while showcasing local artistic talent.
Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito and Councilor Joanna Garay Machado led the inauguration ceremony, where the creativity of artists Mode Orozco and Trobe—who brought their art to the facility’s walls—was celebrated.

“Thank you to the incredible artists Mode Orozco and Trobe for sharing their unique talent with us and transforming this space. Their art illuminates and touches hearts!” the mayor said.
This mural is the first phase of an artistic intervention at the municipal dog pound, a project championed by Councilor Joanna Garay Machado to raise awareness about the importance of respectful treatment for animals.

The councilor thanked the artists for joining the remodeling project and emphasized the importance of creating more adequate and harmonious environments for all living beings in Playas de Rosarito.
In addition to the mural’s unveiling, the mayor participated in the “Una Tonelada de Amor” campaign, personally donating one ton of dog food for the animals sheltered at the pound and reaffirming her commitment to animal well-being.
