An informative talk on gender-based violence, aimed at 50 women, was held at State Government facilities. This event was organized by the 10th City Hall led by Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito, through the Crime Prevention Department of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC).
Crime Prevention Deputy Director Leonardo Topete Ceceña stressed that violence prevention is the mayor’s priority, which is why SSC is implementing continuous actions to eradicate gender-based violence.
“It is essential for Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito that women have the necessary information to prevent and eradicate any type of violence. We want them to know that they should not normalize comments, actions, or any other situation in which they feel attacked,” stated Topete Ceceña.
Different types of violence against women were discussed during this talk, which is part of the Violet Card program and was given by SSC officers Natali Jiménez Cornelio, Brandon Iván Palacios Bibian, and Christian Giovanni Martínez Díaz, with participation from women from several neighborhoods.
This talk reiterated the importance of similar activities to raise awareness in the community about the need to prevent and combat gender-based violence.
