Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito Advances Construction of ISSSTE Clinic to Improve Local Healthcare

This project will benefit more than 4,000 ISSSTE beneficiaries registered in Playas de Rosarito.

Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito held a virtual working meeting with authorities from the Institute of Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) to continue making progress regarding the construction of a clinic in Playas de Rosarito.

During the meeting, the mayor emphasized the significance of this project for the more than 4,500 ISSSTE beneficiaries in Playas de Rosarito. “As a Rosarito community representative, my firm interest is to have an adequate space that guarantees access to quality health services for our citizens,” the mayor said.

She revealed that the evaluation of the proposed land located at Colonia Ejido Mazatlán for the clinic’s construction has been completed. The corresponding ruling, which will allow for the necessary procedures to secure funding to begin, is expected to be issued shortly.

She also announced that a visit by ISSSTE authorities to Playas de Rosarito has been coordinated for next week to closely follow up on the project and finalize the necessary steps for its realization.

“This visit is essential for the process to move forward and ensure that, in the near future, we will have the clinic that the teaching community and all beneficiaries so urgently need,” Mayor Rocío Adame of Rosarito stated.

CNTE Municipal Coordinator, Hugo Monroy Rubio, highlighted that the construction of this clinic is a long-standing demand by ISSSTE beneficiaries and workers in Playas de Rosarito. He said that the cadastral code for the property has already been confirmed, and once the land is approved, the administrative process to include the project in the investment portfolio will begin.

This virtual meeting was attended by Blanca Jaimes Gómez, Head of the Engineering Department of Vertical Transportation Systems at ISSSTE; María Elena Juárez, from the Project Services Agency, part of the Department of Works and Contracting at ISSSTE; and Fausto Enrique Loera González, Deputy Delegate Administrator of ISSSTE in Baja California.

The municipal government led by Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito reaffirms its commitment to work closely with ISSSTE to make the construction of this clinic a reality, as it represents a significant benefit for the health and well-being of the community.
