Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Playas de Rosarito participated in the “Mujeres de Valor” (Valuable Women) panel discussion organized by the Mexican Association of Women Business Leaders (AMMJE). The event highlighted the valuable legacy of Conchita Romo, Norma Sánchez, and Josefina Sánchez, as well as a posthumous recognition of Marcela Lara Ponce, exemplary women who have shaped the present and future of Playas de Rosarito with their effort and dedication.

“Today, we gather here to recognize and celebrate the strength, resilience, and valuable legacy of these women. In Playas de Rosarito, we have witnessed their transformative power and seen how their leadership has driven the economic, social, and cultural development of our municipality.”

The mayor highlighted the courage and determination of the honorees, emphasizing how their actions have paved the way for other women to reach their full potential. Additionally, she stressed the importance of sisterhood as a fundamental pillar for women’s progress.

She reaffirmed her strong commitment to continue working alongside the women of Playas de Rosarito to build a municipality where equal opportunities, active listening, and respect for rights are a reality for all.

“May the legacy of extraordinary women such as Conchita Romo, Norma Sánchez, and Josefina Sánchez continue to inspire us to build a future where equality and justice are a reality for all,” the mayor concluded.
