The Playas de Rosarito City Hall, through the Municipal Women’s Institute (IMMUJER), delivered 35 economic grants of 3,000 pesos each to women entrepreneurs. This initiative seeks to foster economic independence and provide tools that contribute to their personal and professional development.
“In my administration, we deeply recognize the efforts these women make to support their families. I am convinced that this financial aid will give them the opportunity to start or boost their projects, ensuring their households’ well-being. This afternoon, we pay a well-deserved tribute to all the women who, through their daily work, play a fundamental role in building stronger families and communities,” Mayor Rocío Adame Muñoz of Rosarito said.

During her speech, the mayor noted that March holds special significance as it commemorates International Women’s Day. Therefore, she highlighted the importance of reflecting on the progress made regarding women’s and girls’ political, social, and economic rights, while acknowledging that challenges remain in the fight for equality, the eradication of violence, and discrimination.
“Today, we are not only delivering financial support but also celebrating the courage, dedication, and determination of each of these women who have decided to take control of their destinies and build their own dreams,” Mayor Adame Muñoz said.

Municipal Cabinet Coordinator, Briza Bentley Ramírez, reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to continue working in coordination with several departments to create and implement tools, policies, services, and actions that benefit the women of Rosarito.
Meanwhile, the Head of IMMUJER, Irami Cortez de los Ángeles, underscored the importance of entrepreneurship as a driving force of economic development for families, highlighting the crucial role women play in strengthening the local economy.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, one of the entrepreneurs thanked the mayor’s support, highlighting the program’s positive impact on the establishment and expansion of their businesses.
The event was attended by Councilors Yanett Sepúlveda Carreón, Yoselín Peña Melendrez, and Luisa Vanessa de la Cruz Díaz, as well as the Secretary of Municipal Well-Being, Ilse Rodríguez Ramos.
